I just decided that I was the high-risk person, and I didn’t want to fool with this anymore. And I wanted to live to be a grandfather”, Clinton explained the motive behind his weight loss. He continued, “So I decided to pick the diet that I thought would maximize my chances of long-term survival“.

The diet he chose for his “long-term survival” was the vegan diet. He became a devoted vegan. Which means no meat at all. Not only just meat, no kind of dairy product. Not even a discussion about such food while being at the dining table.

If you were to dine with Clinton, you would find a lot of vegetable recipes that you didn’t even consider possible. Here are some of Bill’s favorite recipes, cherry tomatoes, Gigante beans with onions, roasted cauliflower, and shredded red beets in vinaigrette. 

All of this healthy diet has helped him a lot in getting into shape and staying energetic in old age. Besides the diet plan, Clinton has worked a lot on his workout routine as well. Clinton starts his day by running for an hour. He also performs the ancient practice of yoga to put his mind at ease.

When Clinton was asked what would he suggest to his fans, he showed a lot of concern about the health of the average American. He said that we have become addicted to unhealthy foods such as fast food and a lot of other stuff.

While saying so, Bill also knew how much Americans love delicious food. That’s why he gave a suggestion to his fellow Americans. Bill said, “You can make whipped cauliflower as a substitute for mashed potatoes, and it’s great“.
